Blend In The Benefits

PurePharma Liquid O3 is an ultra pure fish oil with a fresh taste of citrus. There is no taste of fish here, so go ahead and drink it straight from a spoon, blend it in your favorite smoothie, or even use it to dress salads. It’s never been easier to enjoy the healthy omega-3s that your body needs.

Pure Love

One teaspoon of O3 liquid contains 2081 mg omega-3 fatty acids with a high concentration of the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA. These fatty acids help keep your heart healthy. That is pure love.

Stability is Key

Not all oils are equal. Fish oil is an unstable oil, which is why it needs protection. In O3 Liquid, this protection comes from mixing the fish oil with one of the most stable oils, medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil. MCT oil works as a buffer for the fish oil. Additionally, O3 Liquid contains some of the strongest antioxidants sourced from rosemary extract. This keeps the oil stable, fresh and free of any fishy taste and odor.

FAQ

Fish oil is oil derived from fatty fish such as anchovy, sardines, mackerel, trout, salmon and tuna. Fish oil is a good source of two specific long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3) known as EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). These two omega-3 fatty acids provide a wide range of health benefits.

PurePharma O3 Liquid contains fish oil derived only from the small fish anchovies and sardines. These fish are the fatty fish lowest in the food chain, meaning low accumulation of toxins. The oil is purified and concentrated to provide a high dose of EPA and DHA and no toxins.
The general recommendation is to aim for around 2-4 grams of omega-3 fatty acids preferably in the form of EPA and DHA per day. Ideally you would get this from a natural source like wild caught fish, but if you have limited access to these, you can use supplements to get the optimal dose. If you are a competing athlete, a higher daily dose may be recommended to prevent inflammation, enhance recovery, improve endurance performance. Talk to your doctor if you think you may need more.
The number one thing to look for is a clean and fresh fish oil. Avoid fish oils that have a distinct fishy smell, that indicates the oil has oxidized.

Secondly, look at how much EPA and DHA each serving provides – this is far more important than the “total fish oil” amount. The fish oil needs to be highly concentrated to get the best effects and also means a lower dose is necessary each day to get the same results. Choose fish oils free of soy (including lecithin), dairy, wheat, rice or sweeteners.

Finally, when choosing a liquid fish oil, it is especially important to choose an oil developed to stay stable and fresh. In PurePharma O3 liquid medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is added to stabilize the oil and prevent oxidation. This means that the oil stays fresh and have no fish taste or odor.

MCT = medium chain triglycerides (6-12 carbon atoms in the fatty acid chain). When ingested these fats are not treated the same way as other fats, that is first picked apart and travel around the body with the blood. MCTs are transported directly to the liver for oxidation, and the energy is hence readily available. This is why they provide energy quickly from the time of ingestion. MCT oil is one of the most stable oils around, which means that it very rarely oxidizes.
It’s best to take your fish oil with meals. You can choose whether to take your daily dose all at once or divided throughout the day.
Keep your fish oil in the fridge. Omega-3s react to light, heat and oxygen and can turn rancid. Rancid fish oil, based on the smell and taste should be discarded immediately.
Triglyceride (TG) is the natural form of fats found in most foods where 3 fatty acids are bound to a glycerol backbone. When distilling and purifying the omega 3 fatty acids, part of the process is to replace this glycerol backbone with ethanol and ethyl esters (EEs) are formed. In high quality products, the omega 3 fatty acids are transferred back to a glycerol as TGs which is a costly process. Cheaper products leave the omega 3s as EEs. Fish oil in the natural TG form offers numerous advantages when compared to EE’s:
higher bioavailabilityhigher omega 3 absorption rates smaller risk of oxidation Multiple countries (Australia, Denmark, Canada, Sweden and Norway) have banned the use of EE’s. Be sure that your fish oil is a triglyceride!
