M3 ESSENTIAL MINERALS
Our unique blend of minerals works to reduce tiredness and help your muscles relax.
Vitamin D3 maintains strong bones and supports your immune system.
Purepharma O3 fish oil is oil derived from fatty fish such as anchovy, sardines, mackerel, trout, salmon and tuna. Fish oil is a good source of two specific long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3) known as EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). These two omega-3 fatty acids provide a wide range of health benefits.
Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin that is only naturally present in a few foods. Vitamin D is also produced in the body when UVB rays from the sun strikes the skin and triggers vitamin D synthesis.
Store your PP3 in a cool, dark place (preferably in the fridge)- both Omega-3’s and Vitamin D3 are sensitive to light, heat and oxygen. Light exposure can degrade Vitamin D3 and turn fish oil rancid. Rancid fish oil, based on the smell and taste should be discarded immediately
Magnesium has to be bound to another compound to be absorbed effectively and magnesium supplements come in various different forms. Some are absorbed poorly whereas others can cause gastric distress and have laxative effects. PurePharma M3 contains primarily Magnesium taurate combined with Magnesium gluconate, which are easily absorbed and have no laxative properties.
PurePharma M3 combines organic forms of the 2 indispensible minerals Magnesium and Zinc. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body, involved in more than 300 processes and critical to good health. Zinc is an essential mineral involved in numerous aspects of cellular metabolism including immune function.
It is recommended to take your O3 and D3 with a meal. You can choose whether to take your daily dose all at once or divided throughout the day. M3 should preferable be taken on an empty stomach after a workout or before bedtime.
Triglyceride (TG) is the natural form of fats found in most foods where 3 fatty acids are bound to a glycerol backbone. When distilling and purifying the Omega 3 fatty acids, part of the process is to replace this glycerol backbone with ethanol and ethyl esters (EEs) are formed. In high quality products the Omega 3 fatty acids are transferred back to a glycerol as TGs which is a costly process. Cheaper products leave the Omega 3s as EEs. Fish oil in the natural TG form offers numerous advantages when compared to EE’s:
-higher omega 3 absorption rates
-smaller risk of oxidation
UVB radiation from sunlight produces Vitamin D in the skin, however, UVB radiation also causes melanoma, skin cancer and photoaging. Sunscreen effectively blocks the UVB rays and protects the skin. Therefore it might still be necessary to take in Vitamin D to reach adequate levels.
